X-tra-ordinary outfit now is over!
Würth-Modyf and Desall.com invite you to an extraordinary fashion design contest titled ’x-tra-ordinary outfit’ for the creation of a new workwear collection which is both fashionable and comfortable, able to support the workers in their daily passion.
About Competition
Würth-Modyf relies on your talent for the creation of a new workwear apparel collection made of at least 5 clothing products, able to satisfy the most extreme needs for comfort and safety in every working situation, conveying all the passion and care for detail of the brand into excellent quality products.
For the correct realisation of your proposals, keep into consideration the following guidelines:
Product typology: you are invited to propose a new workwear apparel line made of stretch fabric clothes, for indoor and outdoor, to be included in the actual Stretchfit collection, able to provide the workers with the due protection and comfort.
You are required to propose at least 5 clothing products belonging to the following 5 categories:
A. Work jacket
B. Work pants
C. Softshell jacket
D. Multipocket work vest
E. Work bib trousers
Nice to have: at your discretion, you can also propose clothing products for the Polo-shirt and Fleece categories.
Comfort and safety: the clothing products you propose shall guarantee an excellent mobility in every situation, providing comfort and flexibility, offering in the meantime maximum safety in the work environment, through a careful selection of materials, closures and accessories for every purpose. For extra safety reasons under low-light conditions, you can include reflective inserts that allow to quickly notice the worker.
Materials and technologies: the clothing products will be realised in stretch fabric. You are invited to include removable knee pads (measuring 15x25cm) and reinforce some areas with abrasion-resistant fabric, wherever appropriate, for an excellent durability.
Pockets: in your proposals include an appropriate number of pockets according to the clothing product. In particular, include at least the following pockets:
- Work jacket: 1 mobile pocket, 1 large pocket;
- Work pants: 1 mobile pocket, 1 ruler pocket, 1 large pocket, 2 knee pads pockets;
- Softshell jacket: 1 large pocket;
- Multipocket work vest: 1 mobile pocket, 1 large pocket;
- Work bib trousers: 1 mobile pocket, 1 ruler pocket, 2 large pockets, 2 knee pads pockets.
Logo: it is required that you include the Würth-Modyf logos in your projects and it is fundamental that you do not cover the yellow areas indicated in the Wuerth-Modyf_logo-positioning.pdf attached in the Material files.
Reinforcement webbings (nice to have): where most appropriate, you may use extra webbings to reinforce seams and pockets. For more information, please refer to the Wuerth-Modyf_webbings.pdf in the Material files.
Style: the collection you propose shall be coherent with the Würth-Modyf brand, reflecting the values and the pursuit of perfection that made the brand one of the main players in the industry.
In order to represent your proposals, choose one of the following hues as the main colour for the collection: light grey, charcoal grey, dark blue and beige.
You are nevertheless required to pick and specify also the remaining three hues (you can simply pick a colour swatch).
In addition, propose a fifth main colour of your choice for the collection.
You are also required to specify in your upload the PANTONE® codes for the four main colours and for the fifth main colour of your choice.
Target: your apparel collection shall be designed for a target made of artisan workers: mechanics, electricians, plumbers, carpenters and construction workers.
Upload all the images that better present your collection (sketches, outlines, 2D CAD files, rendering, descriptions, etc.) and, if necessary, remember that you can also attach a .zip archive containing extra materials. Don’t forget about the abstract and description to give further info about your projects. You can submit as many entries as you like.
There is no entry fee for this fashion design competition!
Eligibility
This fashion design competition is open to designers and creative talents of any nationality aged 18 years or older. Participants can present one or more projects, but only the projects published on the www.desall.com web site, via the upload page related to “x-tra-ordinary outfit” will be accepted.
