Applied Arts Advertising Awards 2020, an international competition organised by Applied Arts Magazine are the only competition in Canada that recognize the creative work of professionals across the visual communications sector, from image makers to advertising executives to designers.
Entries can be submitted in six main categories:
• Integrated Campaigns
• Digital Advertising
• Advertising Craft
• Young Blood, Community and Covid-19 Response
This competition is open to all disciplines of advertising work including, but not limited to, traditional advertising work from print, out-of-home, radio, television, to interactive work and experiential promotional opportunities that work to strengthen a brand.
It’s open internationally to all forms of commissioned, published, unpublished and personal work from professionals and enthusiasts created between August 2019 and September 2020 (but not entries that have been submitted into last year’s competition). Only digital entries are accepted for this competition.
Applied Arts contests are judged by panels of highly regarded industry professionals and experts in a rigorous process. Every entry is scored independently on creative merit, technical excellence and suitability for end use in the category into which it is entered.
All entrants will be notified by mid-November 2020 via email. At that time, those selected as winning entrants will be required to submit high-res digital files for reproduction in the Advertising annual.
Entry fees starts from $40 for a single entry and very depends of the submission category.

This competition is open worldwide to all forms of commissioned, published, unpublished and personal work from professionals and enthusiasts created between August 2019 – September 2020. Only digital entries are accepted for this competition.
Winners will have their work published online, Both in the Winners Gallery on appliedartsmag.com as well as on social media channels for all winning entries. (Published online-only for 2020 due to COVID-19 circumstances).
Moreover, winners will receive a personalized, awards certificate for every winning entry signed by noted designer Georges Haroutiun, the founder and art director of Applied Arts.
