James Dyson Award 2017 Student Design Competition now is over!

CALL FOR ENTRIES: International design student design competition titled James Dyson Foundationthat celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers has recently opened its 2017 edition inviting current and recent product design, industrial design, and engineering university students to participate with ideas that solve problems.

James Dyson Foundation, an international student design competition that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers, is now accepting entries for 2017.

The award celebrates ingenuity, creativity and sustainable engineering. Entrants are encouraged to do more with less, designing with the environment in mind, using fewer raw materials, consuming less energy and creating a technology that will perform better and last for longer.

The competition is open to current and recent product design, industrial design, and engineering university students, who are invited to participate with ideas that solve problems.

You can enter as many projects as you want, and you are encourage to enter your design even if it’s at the latter stage of the design process or is already on the market.

The organizers are looking for designers who think differently to create products that work better.
Engineers who follow an iterative design process. Rough and ready prototypes. Products that have a significant and practical purpose, are commercially viable, and are designed with sustainability in mind.

Each design is judged on its own merit, rather than its origin or designer. The entry process is simple and you could win at the national or international level. And even if you don’t win anything, there’s still a good chance that your design will receive some great exposure through the international media and design community.

Participants from the following 22 countries are eligible to enter: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, and US.

There is no entry fee for this competition.
