Digital Production magazine has recently opened the animago Award 2015 competition, its 19th digital art competition open to artists around the world. The Award has been acknowledging the best works in the fields of 3D animation & still, visual effects and visualization since 1997.

Individuals who send in their productions are not just subjecting their work to the vote of the independent jury; they are also taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase their abilities within the industry.

The 2015 animago Award includes the following competition categories:

- Best Short Film
- Best Character
- Best Young Production
- Best Visualization
- Best Advertising Production
- Best Trailer/Opener
- Best Postproduction
- Best Still
- Jury’s Prize

In 2014, the animago team received over 1,000 submissions from 67 different countries, even from Kazakhstan, Kenya, Senegal and Malaysia.

The animago Award ceremony is scheduled for 15th October 2015 at the Potsdam-Babelsberg Media City in Germany, as part of the two-day animago Award & Conference (15-16 October 2015).

There is no entry fee for this art competition!
