About Competition

Indigo Design Award is an digital competition that aims to showcase the work of innovative, cutting-edge design agencies as well as individual designers at any stage of your career, we want to show your brilliance to the world. That’s why we’ve created Indigo – with a designer’s objectives and needs in mind.

Indigo is on the hunt for the outstanding graphic, digital, UX/UI, games, and apps designs, concepts, and prototypes. They want designers that share their passion for the extraordinary.

Just as the indigo orchid stands out from nature’s palette with its rare and special beauty, they are looking for exceptional projects that shine with an uncommon artistry. A fresh new take on design inspired composition and layout.

Indigo is open to conceptual and completed designs that are five years old or less. They are looking for exceptional work from anywhere around the globe. You are invited to join their jury of industry titans and cutting-edge designers for a competition designed to push boundaries and challenge convention. Submissions are open for both conceptual and already implemented designs. Young designers who graduated within the last five years are particularly encouraged to apply.

It is accepted submissions in the following areas of expertise:

• Graphic Design
• Digital Design – UX and UI design
• Mobile Design
• Game Design

You may submit multiple entries in multiple categories.
All entries must be submitted as PDF, JPEG, or PNG files, with high resolution. As part of Indigo’s mandate to reward outstanding and groundbreaking work, they take a hard line on plagiarism. Your work must be fully your own and any entries that are forged will be disqualified immediately. Additionally, they do not accept material that promotes bigotry, sexism, homophobia or qualifies as hate speech toward a group of people.
They reserve the right to use your work to promote Indigo’s competition in their press materials or on their website. You will receive full credit as the sole creator of your work.

The premier Indigo Design Award Ceremony will be held in Tokyo in 2018, where they will announce the winners of each category. The exemplary international jury panel includes journalists, respected experts and designers such as Pip Jamieson (Founder of The Dots), Casey Sherstobitoff (Director of Global UX Commerce GoDaddy), Tracy Osborn (Hello Web Design author), Fabio Delton (UniCredit), Hernan Puente (Indicius) and many others. They will meticulously judge each entry, paying close attention to Indigo’s criteria, which includes innovation, design and the use of technology.

Your work will be judged by a jury handpicked for their innovative contributions in the digital design world. They will promote the event globally to our vast network and make press materials available to all nominees and winners.

Entry fee for professional work is 100$ and 50$ for each additional category. For student work entry fee is 50$ and for additional category is 25$.

If you send your work by the Extended Early Bird Deadline of November 30, 2017 you will get 10% off your entry fee.
