OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2018 - DRAWING CONTEST

Drawing Contest OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje 2018 has opened for applications dedicated of creating and preserving the art on paper, creative and modern interpretations of the drawing with full artistic freedom, invites all artists from around the world.

OSTEN is a recognizable brand in the area of art, emancipated thought and liberated creation since 1945. As great art admirer and passionate art collector OSTEN makes room for the artists of the world.

They respect the style of the artist and his/her artistic performance, since each bears exclusive features. They also appreciate the topic chosen by the artist, since each bears his/her unique muse.
Fantasy is approved of, futurism is envisaged, innovation is respected. They acknowledge artists and share their work with the audience.

Submited works need to be complited between 2015 and 2018.

Eligible works are drawings, prints, photos, and other techniques applied on paper.

The participants should send the completed Application Form and 1 or more works accompanied by a short CV and photo. Artists decide upon the size, theme and media/technique of the submitted works. The submitted works shall remain within the collection of OSTEN or the Museum of Drawing.

The selection process will take place in June 2018, the jury will judge at the end of the same month, and the official opening of the OSTEN BIENNIAL OF DRAWING Skopje 2018 and the announcement of the awards will take place on 18 October 2018.

The organizer shall cover accommodation expenses of the awarded artists who will announce their presence.

There is no entry fee for this competition!

This competition is opene to all artists from around the world.

The following prizes will be awarded:

• Grand Prix for Life Achievement • World Cultural Heritage Award • 5 First Awards (of $1,000 each) • IMAF (Imran Mir Art Foundation) Award (of $1,000) • 6 Golden OSTEN awards and other special awards and recognitions of the Jury and OSTEN Skopje.
