Standard Chartered Weather Photographer Of The Year 2025 : Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year 2025, international competition hosted by the Royal Meteorological Society, has been recently announced for entries open to photographers of all ages and abilities, including professionals and amateurs.

Standard Chartered Weather Photographer of the Year 2025, now is open for entries!
Photographers from around the globe, whether amateur enthusiasts or seasoned professionals, are invited to capture and share dramatic images depicting a wide range of atmospheric events, climate scenarios, and environmental phenomena.
Participants are encouraged to submit photographs that highlight the dynamic interaction between weather and human activity, illuminating both the beauty and potential hazards associated with weather systems. Submissions might include striking images of thunderstorms, hurricanes, snowfall, or unique cloud formations, alongside photographs exploring the impact of climate change, such as drought, flooding, or severe storms.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the competition, in 2025 organiser is accepting images taken within the last ten years from the competition closing date – i.e. since 19 June 2015.
You can enter up to 5 images per category. The same image can be entered into more than one opportunity if the eligibility criteria for those opportunities are met.
Categories for 2025 edition are:

➜ Standard Chartered Mobile Weather Photographer of the Year
➜ Standard Chartered Young Weather Photographer of the Year
➜ Standard Chartered Climate Award
Winners will be announced on 30 October.
➜ Submission requirements:
When submitting a photograph, please provide the highest possible resolution available and provide further detail to tell more about you and your photograph.
➜ Who may enter?
The competition is open to individuals of all abilities.
➜ Prize:
A total of £9,250 in cash prizes will be awarded across four categories: the Main Category winner will receive £5,000, the Mobile Category winner will receive £2,500, the Young Weather Photographer (under 18) will receive £750 and the Standard Chartered Climate Award winner will receive £1,000.
