Wildscreen Festival Panda Awards 2020 now is over!
The Wildscreen Panda Awards, organised by Wildscreen and that honour the very best in natural world storytelling craft, now is calling for entries accepting submissons from photographers and filmmakers worldwide.
The Panda Awards are managed and presented by Wildscreen, to celebrate and reward excellent in the craft of wildlife and environmental storytelling and now is open for entries inviting photographers and filmmakers worldwide.
The Wildscreen Panda Awards have honoured the very best in natural world storytelling craft since 1982 . In 2020, the Panda Awards will go back to its roots. They will focus solely on the unique craft, specialist skills and talent required to tell natures stories. This awards celebrate the craft of wildlife filmmaking and photography and honor the very best that our industry is producing. Submissions are accepted from productions of any length or budget.

The Awards are open to:
➜ new or established broadcasters, film or television production companies/distributors and independent filmmakers from anywhere in the world is accepted.
➜ a film production must have an aspect of the natural world as the central focus
➜ be completed on or after 1 March 2018
➜ not have been entered for a previous Panda Awards competition
➜ productions entered do not need to have been broadcast prior to their entry, nor do they need at the date of entry to have a future transmission date, and if screened at the Festival they do not need to be a premiere festival screening.
➜ productions in languages other than English are welcome but must be subtitled or dubbed into English.
➜ productions of all lengths, crew sizes and budgets are accepted.
Photo Story Entries
➜ have an aspect of the natural world as the central focus
➜ have a clear and connected narrative weaved throughout the story
➜ include at least one photograph within the story taken on or after
➜ consist of a 6 photographs
If your production is nominated?
If your production is outstanding within the 11 Panda Award categories and nominated for a Panda Award, you will have the opportunity to be internationally recognised by winning the highest accolade in the wildlife filmmaking industry, drawing your work to the attention of the senior industry executive attendees such as the BBC, Netflix and National Geographic. Panda Award nominated films are screened to industry professionals as part of a masterclass at the Wildscreen Festival 2020, giving you the opportunity to showcase your work to industry professionals and wildlife film enthusiasts. You will also be invited to the Panda Award ceremony where the Panda Award 2020 winners will be announced and presented with a Wildscreen Panda Award.
If your photo story is nominated?
If you are nominated you will have the opportunity to be internationally recognised by the natural world storytelling community and be part of the Wildscreen Panda Award Photo Story outdoor exhibition, attracting over 45,000 members of the public in 2018. You and your work will be showcased as part of a session at Wildscreen Festival 2020. You will also be invited to the Panda Award ceremony where the Panda Award 2020 winners will be announced and presented with a Wildscreen Panda Award.
The 20th Wildscreen Festival will take place from 19 October to 23 October 2020 in Bristol, UK.
