LensCulture Critics’ Choice Awards 2025 : LensCulture recently has annouced its new Critics’ Choice Awards 2025, international competition open to all photographers worldwide, aims to give more photographers more opportunities to be recognized than ever before.

The awards foster artistic growth by facilitating meaningful dialogue between artists and critics, thereby inspiring innovation, diversity, and excellence in photography.

Participating in the Critics’ Choice Awards can significantly elevate a photographer’s career, opening doors to influential industry connections and broadening their professional network.

All entries will be reviewed and pre-screened by our editors and an international group of industry professionals. This year’s panel of 20 critics includes photography experts and influencers from world-renowned museums, art galleries, magazines, news media, online platforms, book publishers, and international festivals.

Each of the 20 critics will personally select three photographers with outstanding talent and creative vision — so as many as 60 photographers will be recognized with this year’s honors. Top 10 photographers will be featured in a group exhibition in New York.

➜ Submission requirements:

➜ For best results, upload the highest-quality JPEGs, sized a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side but up to 2000 pixels is even better. Maximum size is 10MB. The file name should be under 50 characters.

➜ You may submit a single photo or series (in this case, your submission should work as a group, thematically or aesthetically).

➜ There are no time-based restrictions concerning when a photo was taken.

➜ You are free to submit photographs that you have submitted to different competitions.

➜ You can submit as many times as you like.

The 20 international experts will select up to 60 Photographers. Every critic will select three photographers with outstanding talent and creative vision. All winning photographers for this award will be exhibited in November during Paris Photo 2020! An opening reception will be held for artists, invited media, photo editors and industry insiders for a night of art appreciation and networking during the world’s largest international art fair dedicated to photography.

➜ Who may enter?

The competition is open to everyone that is 18 years and older, professional and amateur photographers alike.

➜ Prize:

Winners of the LensCulture Critics’ Choice Awards 2025 will receive significant recognition, including publication on LensCulture’s platform, exposure to a global audience, and opportunities for career advancement. Selected photographers may also be featured in exhibitions and receive additional accolades. This award aims to elevate the profiles of talented photographers by connecting them with influential industry professionals and providing a platform for their work to be seen by a wider audience.

➜ Entry fees:

You may submit 1 photo for free (10 USD for each additional photo). If you submit 5 single-image entries, judged individually (not as a series) entry fee is 35 USD, instead 10 photographs, judged as a series will cost 45 USD.

If you enter 5+ single images or a series, you can add a professional written review of your submission for an additional $25.

Student will get 30% of discount on their entry fee.
