Ecuador Poster Bienal 2020 Call for Posters now is over!
CALL FOR ENTRIES: Ecuador Poster Bienal 2020, competition and event focused on cultural, social, academic and professional values, now is calling for entries inviting all design students, graphic designers, architecture, artists, photographers and visual communicators to participate with posters printed between January 2018 and June 2020.
The Ecuador Poster Bienal 2020, an international competition and event focused on cultural, social, academic and professional values, has been recently announced for entries. The posters printed between January 2018 and June 2020 is eligible to enter.
Every two years, Ecuador Poster Bienal celebrates the most creative in the world works. An international jury of design icons, performs an arduous process that selects the best works that represent the values of a constantly evolving industry. As part of the Ecuador Poster Bienal an International Congress of Visual Communication is presented, which consists of a series of exhibitions, conferences and workshops.
A) Advertising - The poster is the one used to communicate an advertising campaign to promote or offer an item or service, as well as to disseminate information on events of public interest, such as shows, concerts, fair, sports, movies, plays, fairs or exhibitions.
B) Social, Cultural and Political - is dedicated to display a graphic material that transmits a message showing the reality of our society, educated and politics. It is integrated into an aesthetic unit consisting of images that impact and short texts.
C) Students - Dedicated to students with a free theme graphic material, consisting of images and texts, etc. Where students can use their creativity freely.
D) Animated - Destined to animated graphic material, composed of text, images. Formed by an interesting space to call glances animation.
E) VISIT ECUADOR - The poster ’Visit Ecuador’ is an artwork focused central theme the country Ecuador. Showing tourism the country through posters.
All works should be first submitted as files digitally. Size: 700px x 1000px (Vertical), RGB, 72 dpi, JPG, 500kb (Maximum).
The number of entries submitted by each participant is unlimited.
The works will be selected by the Jury and all the selected participants will be informed by email by 31 July 2020.
If your work is selected you need to send 2 copies of your works to Quito, Ecuador (address labels will be sent to each selected designer by email privately) until 20 September 2020. It is recommended to printing works in the standard size of 70cm x 100cm, although there are no special requirements.
But if you prefer they can print your poster and in that case you will need to send the file 300 dpi, size 55cm x 85cm to firstname.lastname@example.org and pay USD $40 for each work through Western Union, until August 20, 2020.

Design students, graphic designers, architecture, artists, photographers and visual communicators in general can participate, regardless of age or nationality, with posters printed between January 2018 and June 2020.
