Weltformat Graphic Design Festival,in Lucerne (Switzerland) recently has been announced for entries and again looking for the most exciting newcomer poster designers!
This year's theme of Weltformat Graphic Design Festival is "Tools and Rules". Organiser are interested in the ways in which the work of designers and their visual solutions are influenced by tools and instruments as well as certain rules and guidelines.
Rules and regulations may limit creativity – on the other hand, they can be liberating, especially in times of seemingly endless possibilities. The question is, whether exciting results emerge when graphic designers disregard rules or rather when they consciously allow restrictions. Are design rules crucial and important or just an unnecessary dictation and the only rule to follow should be: no rules? Show which formal and content-related rules you personally act on – and which ones you think should definitely be broken.
• Upload your poster as a JPG file (150 dpi, DIN A3 (297x420mm), max. 3 MB). Upload tool will be available from 20 June 2019.
• A maximum of 3 entries per person is permitted.
