CALL FOR ENTRIES: Illustration competition Joseph Binder Award 2018 organised by designaustria is now open for entry inviting all designers and illustrators around the world, including students, to participate with their best works.
The Joseph Binder Award, an international illustration competition held every two years, with a focus on graphic design and illustration was launched for the first time in 1996 by designaustria, the interest organization and knowledge centre for design in Austria.
This competition is named after one of the most outstanding graphic designers and illustrators active in Austria between the two World Wars, who subsequently also revolutionized visual communication in the United States.
»Colour and form are inseparable« – the motto of this year’s call for entries is borrowed from one of Joseph Binder’s quotes, which inspired the graphic designers of the studio Bruch–Idee&Form from Graz in their design for the visual appearance of JBA18.
