After starting off the fashion of making women wear men’s watches, after inventing the category of the steel jewel, making steel a malleable material and introducing the innovative “multi-wear” jewel category, BREIL now relies on you to go even beyond and reinvent – once again – the steel jewellery.
For the correct realisation of your proposals, keep into consideration the following guidelines:
Product typology: BREIL is looking for a new steel jewel for women, that reflects the bold and sensual personality of the brand, an unmistakable, bold design (visible and recognisable), comfortable to wear, to never go unnoticed. Design a BREIL jewel – necklace, bracelet, ring, earrings – focusing your attention mainly on necklaces and bracelets, product typologies that BREIL is particularly interested in.
Get inspired by the themes BREIL currently covers:
• multi-wear area, that is jewels that can be worn in different ways and configurations as for the bloom and waterfall collections (see Material files);
• precious area, jewels identified by essential lines with a feminine and elegant style, characterised by precious details, such as Swarovski crystals and diamond-cut finishing;
• design area, a celebration of richness in shapes and of the typical magnetism of the BREIL style, represented by collections that show off the typical brand signature through their physical solidity and their captivating design.
What’s next? Become the main players of the new BREIL revolution, proposing a new product that fully embodies the brand traits, giving life to a new iconic jewel.
Style: your jewel shall fully reflect the BREIL style, which is unmistakable, unique, which speaks a brave, determined language; a jewel that highlights the strong personality of those who wear it, a sensual and bold design object: visible and recognisable, but not necessarily large in size.
Shapes: portray the unique style of BREIL by employing amorphous, organic and non-geometrical shapes, maximising the pleasant feel of the touch and the sensuality of steel. A shape able to bring together the comfort in the portability and the strong and determined personality of those who wear BREIL.
Materials: the jewels shall be a true celebration of steel, already a symbol of the brand, that will be the true protagonist in your proposals. In addition to steel you can decide to employ other materials, as long as the former never gets overshadowed. Similarly, you can consider to employ its several finishing possibilities.
Preferably do not employ technological or electronic components.
Size and weight: there are no constraints regarding size or weight, as they will vary according to the jewel typology you will propose.
The projects you present shall nevertheless be “portable”, thus comfortable to wear and not too heavy.
Values to convey: your jewel shall be the vehicle of the BREIL innovative drive and of all the values it conveys, the same values that those who wear BREIL want to express with their look: the research for an unparalleled sensuality, a unique style, a bold and strong personality.
Target: your jewels shall be conceived for a female public of women aged between 25 and 40 years, that look at the jewel as a product that can truly embellish them, making them original in an all unexpected way.
The target price for your jewels will fall in the range between 40 and 110 € according to the jewel typology and complexity.
Participation in this jewellery competition is open to designers and creative talents of any nationality aged 18 years or older. Participants can present one or more projects, but only the projects published on the www.desall.com web site, via the upload page related to “BREIL – What’s next?” will be accepted.
The selection of the winner by BREIL will be the result of an unquestionable evaluation and it will take into account originality, feasibility and consistency with the brief presented.
For the duration of the option right, the Client offers an extra chance to all participants setting a price of Euro 1,000 (one-thousand) for the purchase of the license for the economical exploitation of the projects not-acknowledged as the winning proposals.
