Rattle Poetry Prize 2024, competition is organized by Rattle, an American poetry magazine.

The competition is open to poets of any nationality writing in English (no translations except by the original author).

You may submit up to four poems per entry.

Poems may be any length, any style, or any subject.

Entries must not have been previously published. They can’t have appeared in any books, e-books, magazines, or similar collections, online or in print. Rattle’s winter issue must be a potential first curation for all works submitted—meaning they can’t have appeared in any books, e-books, magazines, or similar collections, online or in print. The poems may have been self-published to personal blogs or social media. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but organised must be notified immediately if any poems are accepted elsewhere.

Winners will be announced September 15, 2024, and the Readers’ Choice Award Winner will be announced February 15, 2025.

Who may enter?

The competition is open to writers worldwide.

Prize:

The overall winner will receive a cash prize of $15,000 USD. Ten finalists will each receive $500 USD, and be eligible for the $5,000 USD Reader's Choice Award.

Entry fees:

The $30 USD entry fee is a one-year subscription to Rattle magazine.
