The 1st Oriental Kids Picture Book Award: Oriental Kids Picture Book Award, illustration competition, is the very 1st edition recently opened for entries with the purpose of discovering and cultivating high-level picture book creators.
About Competition
The 1st edition of Oriental Kids Picture Book Award, ilustration competition now is opened for entries!
In order to push forward the development of picture book creation, publishing and picture-book-related industries, Jiangsu Phoenix Publishing & Media Group established the Oriental Kids Picture Book Award.
The contest invites domestic and foreign professional picture book creators to contribute their picture books.
Guidelines:
The picture book is for children aged 0~10 years old. It must be structurally complete, and the picture-text relationship is in line with the requirements of creation and expression. It can be independently written.
The genre of work creation is not limited. Language of creation is not limited. It advocates multiple forms of creation, adheres to the principle of putting children first, and takes children’s understanding as the first criterion. It is required to have a healthy mind and a noble style, and actively spread the main theme and positive energy. Expressing and presenting Chinese stories and Chinese elements is encouraged.
Entries must be original or unpublished works by individuals or groups.
Submission requirements:
It’s recommended to send your works by the post, but you can submit your work by the mail or online.
At least 10 pictures including the cover are required for each entry (electronic document, picture book text required on the picture). You need to preparare a brief description of the work. Please save each individual image as JPG format, 72 dpi, RGB mode; the longest side need to be 1024 pixels, and the file preferably less than 500KB.
In July 2020, the results of 1st “Oriental Kids Original Picture Book Award” will be announced, and an award-winning exhibition will be held.
