CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Poster Competition Segunda Llamada has been recently announced for 2018 with a theme "Climate Change" and for this edition a coalition of designers, artists, scientists, educators and environmental activists of all ages join forces to stand up for our planet with desire to spread information, raise awareness, spark debate and dialogue, and inspire people to care about climate change.
The Segunda Llamada, international Poster Competition for 2018 edition is theme "Climate Change".
Intend of this year theme is to spread information, raise awareness, spark debate and dialogue, and inspire people to care about climate change. For this year's international Poster Competition a coalition of designers, artists, scientists, educators and environmental activists of all ages join forces to stand up for our planet.
Carbon emissions are the highest they’ve been since homo sapiens have been on the planet. Greenhouse gases resulting from human activity, specifically burning fossil fuels like coal and oil, are causing global earth and ocean temperature to rise at an accelerating rate. We need to Care. And we need to Act now.
Organiser looking for the poster that contributes to solving the problem.
Participants can submit a maximum of 3 posters (single or conforming series).
To participate in the competition, entries must submit a poster sized 60x90cm (3543 x 5315 pixels – resolution 150ppi). The need to be Vertical (portrait), black and white., seved in .JPG format, in mode Grayscale and of maximum size of 5MB. Color posters other sizes or formats will not be accepted.
If your entry contains any text it must be in English. And a brif desctiption need to be 100 characters maximum. However, if selected, a Spanish version will be required and the organiser might request an editable file for further translations. It is suggested keeping a file with independent text layers.
Works will be assessed according to the following criteria:
• Concept originality
• Graphic quality
• Message conveyance
• Accuracy of facts and information
The 3 jury teams will assess submissions to select 50 winning posters and Top 10 Awards.
Results will be published on August 20, 2018, on the Segunda llamada website and Facebook page. The posters will also be shown at international exhibitions and events to follow.
Participants will maintain author’s rights and will receive full credit for their posters, print and digital media publications.
There is no entry fee for this competition.

Who can enter?
Participation in this competition is open to professionals and students worldwide.
The selection of posters will be featured on the Segunda Llamada website and on social media. The posters will also be shown at international exhibitions and events to follow.
To help raise awareness at a bigger scale the collection will be made available for environmental organisations, educational institutions and the general public to download and use under the Creative Commons license (CC BY‐NC‐ND 4.0)
