Short description
The Fotofestiwal Open Program 2027 is an international photography open call organized by Fotofestiwal – International Festival of Photography in Łódź, Poland. The competition invites photographers, visual artists and collectives from around the world to submit their most compelling photographic projects for the opportunity to participate in one of Central Europe's established photography festivals.
The Open Program celebrates contemporary photography in its many forms, encouraging creative experimentation, original visual storytelling and diverse artistic perspectives. From documentary photography and conceptual projects to experimental visual practices, the competition welcomes a broad range of approaches that explore photography as a medium of artistic expression and communication.
Selected projects will be presented as part of Fotofestiwal 2027, taking place in June 2027 in Łódź, Poland, offering artists the opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience of photography enthusiasts, curators, cultural professionals and fellow artists.
An international jury will select six outstanding projects for exhibition during the festival. Each selected artist or collective will receive financial support towards the presentation of their work, along with opportunities for networking, professional exposure and participation in the festival's opening events.
The initiative aims to support both emerging and established artists, fostering dialogue between different photographic practices and helping innovative projects reach wider audiences.

Submission requirements
➜ Each artist or collective may submit a maximum of two projects.
➜ Applications should present a coherent photographic or visual art project suitable for exhibition during Fotofestiwal 2027.
➜ Provide the required project description, artist information and visual documentation through the online application form.
Eligibility
The Fotofestiwal Open Program 2027 is open to photographers, visual artists and artistic collectives from around the world, regardless of age, nationality or professional experience.
Both emerging and established artists are welcome to participate.
Benefits
➜ Six selected projects will be exhibited during Fotofestiwal 2027 in Łódź, Poland.
➜ Each selected artist or collective will receive an artist fee of €1,000.
➜ Selected participants will be eligible for a travel reimbursement of up to €300.
➜ Additional financial support of up to €600 will be provided for the production or transportation of exhibition works.
➜ Accommodation will be provided during the festival's opening weekend.
➜ At least one selected artist will be nominated for FUTURES, an international photography platform supporting emerging talent.
➜ Selected projects will gain international exposure through festival exhibitions, promotional activities and opportunities to connect with photography professionals.
Entry fees
€15 per project.
Each participant may submit a maximum of two projects.
