15th Fest Anča International Animation Festival 2022: The 15th Fest Anča International Animation Festival, specialized film festival in Bratislava has opened the call for entries for 2022 and is currently accepting new animated films from around the world with aim to contribute to the development and promotion of animation and the animated film industry.

Short description

Fest Anča International Animation Festival, the only Slovak multimedia festival focused on animated film and digital games has just opened its 2022 call for entries.

Fest Anča’s purpose is to show contemporary, progressive animated films and commemorate the best of the genre’s history.

Only short animated films (under 30 minutes), completed after 1 January 2020 and submitted with English subtitles – are accepted into the Festival’s competition program. The competition for 2022 includes the following categories:

Best animated short
Best student animated short
Best animated music video
Best animated short for children
Best Slovak animated short

International juries will be composed of prominent representatives of culture, film theory, and film journalism, as well as filmmakers and producers. There will be one international jury for Anča Awards in the Best Animated Short category and in the Best Student Animated Short category. Another international jury will award the Anča Award in the Best Animated Music Video category. The third international jury will decide the Anča Award in the Best Slovak Animated Short category. The Anča Award in the Best Animated Short for Children category will be decided by the children participating in the projections.

The 15th Fest Anča will take place in Žilina, Slovakia, 29th June - 3th July, 2022.

This competition is open to everyone worldwide. There are also the children's and students category.

Entry fees:

The submission process is free of charge until December 31, 2021. Submissions registered during the period between January 1 and January 31, 2022 (Late Deadline) will be subject to a registration fee of 5 EUR per film.
