2024 Fumetto International Comic Competition: Fumetto International Comix Festival Luzern has recently opened the call for entries for Fumetto International Comic Competition 2024, like every year with aim to give comic creators the opportunity to compare their work, present it to a broader public and to exchange views with others.

Short description

The Fumetto International Comix Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland, is now accepting submissions for the 2024 International Comic Competition.

Each year, Fumetto International Comic Festival Lucerne holds a competition to give comic creators the opportunity to compare their work, present it to a broader public and to exchange views with others. Today the competition is one of the largest and most important of its kind in Europe.

“ This year’s theme of the international comic competition is „Fleisch“, meaning flesh or meat in all its possible implications. We are all made of meat and flesh and many of us eat it too, from animals to meat substitutes – or even human flesh?

There are three categories:

➜ 18 years or older
➜ 13 to 17 years
➜ up to 12 years of age

Fumetto collects and shows the scariest, most beautiful, most bizarre and funniest stories about meat and flesh, be it about the human body, about responsible consumption in the face of climate catastrophes or about international specialties and delicacies.

Submission requirements:

You may submit only one comic (story in picture form):

➜ Submited format need to be A4 or A3, only comics (stories in picture form). Maximum 4 number of pages (only 1 comic-story). No digital entries by e-mail, only by post-service.

Who may enter?

The Fumetto International Comic Competition 2024 is open to anyone worldwide.

Prize:

Fumetto will award three prizes in each category. There will also be a prize for the best scenario, regardless of the categories. The festival’s visitors will be able to vote for the peoples choice award.
