5th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest now is over!

5th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest: The Green Crescent recently has organized the 5th edition of its International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest with aim to draw attention to addictions, while raising awareness among the youth.

Short description

The 5th International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest, organised by Green Crescent now is calling for entries with aim to draw attention to addictions, while raising awareness among the youth.

Works submitted to the contest are expected to focus on the causes of addiction, how addiction spreads, the effects of addiction, and responsibilities related to online betting and online gambling addiction, under the headings of “The Effects of the Pandemic” and “Digital Games” and the main theme of “New Generation, and New Generation Addictions”.

Organiser aims at delivering strong messages about our struggle against addictions, which cartoonists from all four corners of the world will devise by adding humor to their cartoons, to the public through this year’s contest.

Works submitted to the contest will be evaluated both by cartoonists, and by experts in the field of addiction.

The winners will be announced on 4 June 2021. Award ceremony will be held 4 June 2021.

Who may enter?

The contest is open to all amateur/professional cartoonists worldwide.

Prize:

A first prize of 12,500 TRY, a second prize of 10,000 TRY and a third prize of 7,500 TRY will be given to the producers of the best entries. Moreover, three entries will receive excellence awards of 3,500 TRY, and one will be selected for the “Mazhar Osman Award”, also for 3,500 TRY.

The winners of the International Green Crescent Cartoon Contest will meet an international audience. Green Crescent has for the last three years been attending the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) meeting in Vienna, organized by UNODC, where it displays the winning entries to the contest.
