Blinds Direct Design Challenge 2021 now is over!

Blinds Direct Design Challenge 2021: Blinds Direct recently has launched a Blinds Direct Design Challenge 2021, nationwide competition aimed to encourages university designers to create unique art inspired by their individuality, identity and culture.

Short description

Home furnishing brand Blinds Direct has launched a National Student Design Competition 2021, nationwide competition that gives aspiring student designers the chance to have their work printed on a range of interior decor products that will be sold on the company’s website, with the artist credited in each product listing.

In this new annual competition, organiser will be asking undergraduate students to design a printed fabric in a particular theme. This year organiser is celebrating individuality and requesting submissions around the question ‘who am I?’.

Partecipants are encouraged to create a unique pattern inspired by their heritage and history and are given free reign over their technique or chosen subject - whether they opt for florals, geometric or abstract design elements.

The top three entrants will be decided by an expert panel of judges drafted from the Blinds Direct design team including a guest panel judge.

Submission requirements:

Entrants need to submit a digital version of their design, along with a 200-word explanation of their creative process and factors featured in the pattern.

The winner will be contacted via email on September 30th 2021.

Who may enter?

Open to UK design students.

Prize:

The winning design will be printed and sold in an exclusive range of products on the Blinds Direct website.

The winner and two runners up will also receive a lampshade and cushion featuring their print.

The winning entry will be printed by Blinds Direct and made available on the website as Roman blinds, roller blinds, cushions, lampshades and curtains.

Furthermore, the winner will be featured in an article for the December issue of Good Homes, and will be invited to provide a quote.
