Compost Awareness Week Poster Contest 2021: The International Compost Awareness Week Committee invites you to get involved in ICAW Poster Contest 2021 looking for anyone interested in participating in their 18th edition, this year themed “Grow, Eat… COMPOST… Repeat”.

Short description

The Composting Council Research & Education Foundation (CCREF) recently has announced its ICAW Compost Awareness Week Poster Contest 2021 inviting people from all over the world to participate.

International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) is the largest and most comprehensive education initiative of the compost industry. It is celebrated nationwide and in other countries each year during the first full week of May. The goal of the program is to raise the awareness of the public regarding the benefits of using compost to improve or maintain high-quality soil, to grow healthy plants, reduce the use of fertilizer and pesticides, improve water quality and protect the environment. This year’s participants are encouraged to submit a design that reflects the theme ’Grow, Eat… COMPOST… Repeat’.

The concept and images of the poster should be based on the benefits of compost. Compost is the focus of the contest. The judges will especially look for images that demonstrate that organic materials are a key component to healthy soils and for keeping soils and the environment healthy in the future. When creating your poster, please remember that the winning poster will be reproduced and distributed nationally. The Composting Council Research & Education Foundation’s logo, along with sponsor logos, will be added to the poster below the winning image. Do not add any logos to your design.

The poster must include the words International Compost Awareness Week May 2 – 8, 2021 along with the poster theme: ’Grow, Eat… COMPOST… Repeat’. Please make sure everything can be easily read from a distance. Do not add additional words to your poster. Failure to follow these instructions will disqualify your poster!
