Design Studio Mag 2022 Awards: DSM 2022 AWARDS, international design competition recognizing the world’s channel best projects, products, and ideas has been recently opened for entries, inviting designers and design firms, post-secondary students enrolled in design and architecture programs and architecture photographers to participate.

Design Studio Mag 2022 Awards, international design competition recognizing the world’s channel best projects, products, and ideas, now is calling for entries!

Because you want your business to grow, your work appreciated, you want something new and fun. The International exposure through our media partners, thousands of Design Studio Mag readers, achievements in print, online, and our potent Social Media make the difference! You can submit your project in the following categories:

Design
(furniture, lighting, interior products, wallpaper, textile, architectural product, etc.)
Architecture
(residential buildings, houses, etc.)
Lanscape Architecture
(public and provate landscapes)
Urban Design
Experimental graphic design and video (experiential brand identity, ideas, prototypes, etc.
Student work (Any industrial design product, architectural structure, landscape, interior space or unbuilt/unrealized concept developed by a student enrolled in a post-secondary design or architecture program in 2020)
Interiors
Concepts and Renderings
Photographers (Architectural Photographer: A unique architecture photographed even in detail; a photographic collection of architectures; in general, photographs related to Design and Architecture.)
Enviromental care award (Projects must show sensitivity and respect for the use and management of natural resources throughout their lifecycle, especially with respect to materials and energy use. Projects may be entered in one or both categories.)

All built work must have been completed on or before December 31, 2020. Products must be prototyped or in production. For Concepts entries, work must have been developed or presented for the first time in 2020. For Student work: any industrial design product, architectural structure, landscape, interior space or unbuilt/ unrealized concept developed by a student enrolled in a post-secondary design or architecture program in 2020.

Entries are juried by a multidisciplinary panel of industry experts.

Submission requirements:

Images: You may submit up to 20 images and/or drawings/renderings in jpg format, HR (minimum of 9” height and width)+ 5 to 10 as Instagram Format, is possible to duplicate the previous. Images must not contain the name or logo of the designer, architect, firm, company, client or manufacturer. If submitting a rendering, please ensure that this is clearly indicated in the file name.

Video: Entrants are encouraged to share videos of their work that help to communicate the project. It is shared via weblink (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo), but organiser will accept direct uploads in .mov, .mp4 or mpg format with a file size less than 1 GB.

Project name: Select a name to represent your project or product. The project name must not contain the name of the designer, architect, firm, company, client or manufacturer.

Project description: No more than 500 words, 300-350 is good, including objectives and how they were met, design challenges, technological and/or material innovations, social and environmental impact. Project descriptions and images must not contain the name or logo of the designer, architect, firm, company, client or manufacturer.

Evaluation Criteria:

Aesthetics - is the design contemporary, visually, and intellectually stimulating? Does it provoke curiosity, have the capacity to uplift spirits, or simply delight?

Function - How well does it serve its intended use? Does it effectively resolve problems?

Creativity - Does it incorporate a unique approach, use a new medium or materials? Is it technologically innovative, forward-looking?

Social and Environmental Responsibility - Does it make respectful use of materials and resources? Does it possess a long life span? Does it contain recycled materials and/or can it be recycled? Does it provide a social benefit? Does it give a good mood, well-being, healthy environment?

The Design Studio Mag 2022 Awarads is open to designers and design firms from all disciplines, post-secondary students enrolled in Design and Architecture programs, Architecture photographers.

Entry fees:

Entry fee starts from 55 € during the Early Bird deadline period. After that period ends the amount of the fee will increase.
