Edinburgh Short Film Festival (ESFF) 2022: The Edinburgh Short Film Festival (ESFF) 2022, now in its 11th edition is calling for entries accepting submissions from any director(s) and like every year seeking for the short films in all forms, genres and techniques from any part of the world.

Short description

Edinburgh Short Film Festival (ESFF) now in its 11th edition is opened for entries accepting submissions for 2022 in any form of short film, genre, budgets and techniques, from any part of the world.

Devoted to screening short film from Edinburgh, Scotland and around the world, The ESFF evolved from the Leith Short Film Festival in 2011 and has shown everything – from the first film made in Somalia in 20 years, to Oscar nominated shorts from Australia, the USA and Ireland, as well as short films smuggled out of China and Iran – and hosted visiting film-makers from China, Russia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Holland and all over the UK. The maximum duration for submitted films is 25 minutes including credits. International films are welcomed and all genres are eligible.

English subtitles is required for any film not in English.

The Edinburgh Short Film Festival(ESFF) 2022 will take place in November 2022.

Who may enter?

Any director(s) will be eligible from the films selected for exhibition at the 2022 Edinburgh Short Film Festival.

Prize:

ESFF will present awards and trophies for the best films for 2022 selected by the jury for Best Film, Best Animation & Best Scottish Short.

Early Bird Deadline (until 28 February 2022) - £13
Regular Deadline (until 16 May 2022) - £15
Late Deadline (until 20 June 2022) - £20
