EDIT Napoli, an innovative design fair created to support, promote and celebrate a new generation of designers, recently has announced new call for entries looking for designers, design studios, manufacturers, artisans and producers with practices rooted in making that value quality over quantity.
EDIT Napoli is an innovative design fair created to support, promote and celebrate a new generation of designers. It focuses on the rise of the designer-maker who is at the forefront of a movement that is challenging the traditional chain of production and distribution.
EDIT Napoli selects a specific group of international, independent producers, craftsmen and enlightened manufacturers, emerging as an autonomous force in contemporary design. Organiser showcases collections that are usually produced on a small-scale, but could be suitable for industrial production. They encourage distinctive work with an emphasis on the process, the use and applications of materials. They recognise the essence of handmade and the value of design pieces as conduits of collective memory. During the fair, a committee of design experts made of Formafantasma (Italian designers), Dorothée Melochzon (interior and furniture designer), Sight Unseen, Alessandro Valenti (ELLE Décor Italia), will select the best-unreleased product 2021; the winner will have a personal space in the 2022 edition.
The 3rd exhibition will be held in Complesso San Domenico Maggiore – Naples, 29 - 31 October 2021 - aiming to forge partnerships between the designers and the thought leaders of the design world with a strong focus on international buyers and retailers.
This competition is dedicated to designers aged under 30 and to brands with less than three years of history.
The winner will have a personal space in the 2022 edition exhibition.
Those that will pass Domitilla Dardi and Emilia Petruccelli's selection, our curators, will have to pay an entrance fee of 800euro+VAT to exhibit at the Seminario section in the fair, which is visited by thousands of buyers, architects, design curators and more..
