Istanbul Photo Awards 2022: Istanbul Photo Awards 2022, an international news photography competition for professionals organized by Anadolu Agency is now open for entries accepting entries from all professional photographers worldwide.

Istanbul Photo Awards, organised by Anadolu Agency, recently has been started to accept applications for 2022! The competition is recognized as one of the world’s top photography contests.

In its eighth year, Istanbul Photo Awards aims to award and support photojournalists for their professional dedication.

This competition aims to contribute to the sphere of news photography and offers a perspective shaped by the region’s unique position at the center of diverse cultures. The awards reward endeavors of courageous and talented photojournalists from around the world on merit.

Entries are being accepted in seven categories:

➜ Story News
➜ Single Sports
➜ Story Sports
➜ Single Nature and Environment
➜ Canon Story Daily Life
➜ Story Portrait

This year, three awards will be given in the Single Nature and Environment category, featuring works in the field of the environment, one of the world’s most pressing issues.

Applications will be open to all published and unpublished works from all over the world.

The contest jury, featuring star-studded figures from the photography world, will award the best photos in March.

Entries will be evaluated based on multiple factors such as technique, perspective, movement, and feeling.

➜ Who may enter?

Only professional photographers can enter the contest, using photos of events that made headlines worldwide in 2021. Along with many staff photographers, a sizeable number of freelance journalists also enter the contest.
