The Pictoplasma Berlin 2021 Animation Festival is calling for animation submissions for the “Characters In Motion” international screenings from any part of the world.

Pictoplasma Festival every year transforms Berlin into the world’s most exciting meeting point for a diverse scene of international artists and creatives, trailblazing the face of tomorrow’s visual culture. The ’Characters in Motion’ screenings offer an overview of international animations, short films, motion graphics, and experimental work, focusing on stylish and fresh character-driven visuals and narratives.
The festival showcases latest trends in figurative character design, from fine to urban arts, illustration, animation and graphic design...

All animated short films (experimental, narrative, non-narrative, commissioned, or student films) will be considered for the official 2021 festival selection.

Please send your submissions as Full HD Quicktime (Pro Res or H.264 codec).

Coming 25–29 August + 17–18 September Pictoplasma Berlin 2021 will be a very special hybrid edition encompassing a 5-day conference in Berlin plus a 2-day global online event.
