Pro Carton Young Designers Award 2021: The Pro Carton Young Designers Award, one of Europe’s leading young packaging design awards has been recently opened for entries for 2021, giving young designers both professional recognition as well as a networking platform with industry, a first step towards a professional career.

Short description

The Pro Carton Young Designers Award, one of Europe’s leading student competitions for packaging design, organised by Pro Carton, European Association of Carton and Cartonboard manufacturers now is accepting entries for 2021!

Focussing exclusively on cartonboard, the award plays a pioneering role in promoting sustainability as well as innovation in the European packaging industry.

You should submit physical 3D samples of your designs but illustrations or two dimensional layouts are also welcome. The initial submission should be made online and you will only need to send your physical 3D cartonboard design if it has been confirmed that you have made it onto the shortlist. Students that do not make it to the shortlist will not have to send in their physical designs/prototypes/dummies for the jury meeting.

The winners and their teachers will be invited to the Award Gala ceremony to be held in September subject to restrictions concerning COVID-19. The announcement of the winners will be published in September/October on all our media channels.

Who may enter?

The competition is aimed at all design students in Europe who are not working as professionals. They must not have completed their studies before the summer of 2021.

Prize:

In addition to these four category winners, the jury will also choose the winner of the “Newcomer Award“ plus, consumers will have the opportunity to vote and select the winner of the Public Award.
