Taipei International Design Award 2021: Taipei International Design Award 2021, international competition now in its 14th editon has been recently opened for entries and like every year invites all designers from all over the world to participate.

Short description

The Taipei International Design Award (TIDA) 2021, is now open for entries in its 14th edition and like every year invites designers from various fields and all parts of the world to participate!

Taipei City Government every year organizes the Taipei International Design Award in the ethos of “Design for Adaptive City”, as an on-going gesture to the world, particularly to those with a passion for creativeness and design, a gesture in projecting the urban branding imagery of “Design Taipei; Dream Taipei’.
Over the years, Taipei City Government has been devoted to shaping Taipei into a city with design visions and has been continuously conveying to those with a passion for design and creativeness the urban branding of “Design Taipei; Dream Taipei.” Taipei City Government extends its invitation to designers from all over the world to join in and vie for the highest honor. The organizers is looking for practical works, projects, services created to help the society actually solving problems in daily bases and confronting challenges from city development.

Submission requirements:

➜ Entries must be original creations of the contestants completed after May 10, 2019..
➜ All files should come in the formats of jpg, png, bmp, under 3MB in size and 1190 x 840 pixels in resolution above 72 dpi. max.3MB per photo.
➜ Upload design concept description, max.500 words. (English as the main language supported by other languages when necessary).
➜ Maximum 3 photos for categories (Industrial Design and Visual Communication Design) and for (Public Space Design) you can submit maximum 5 photos of the same work from different angles.

Please ensure the image resolution of the entries is sufficient enough for jurors to comprehend the work content and for the design concept to be presented fully.

Who may enter?

Everyone around the world are welcomed to participate individually or as a group (each group is limited to 5 members) with one member as main correspondent.

Prize:

This year’s total prize money is up to NT 3.8 million including NT 600,000 for the grand prize – Taipei City Mayor Award.

In addition to the three main original categories in the industrial design, visual communication design and public space design, this year our special prize “Social Design Award” has renamed as “Social Innovation Award” in order to encourage designer to come up with more ideas regarding public interests.
