The Alpine Fellowship Visual Arts Prize 2021: The Alpine Fellowship Visual Arts Prize 2021 now is accepting applications from artist worldwide and the prize this year is awarded for the best visual arts response to the theme: Untamed: On Wilderness and Civilization.

Short description

The Alpine Fellowship Foundation is accepting applications for its Alpine Fellowship Visual Arts Prize 2021 open to all artists aged 18 and above. Every year writing, visual arts, and theatre prizes are awarded to the best works concerning the years’ theme.

The Alpine Fellowship is a group of writers, thinkers and artists who are passionate about learning and communicating with a view to better understanding themselves and others. Every year writing, visual arts, and theatre prizes are awarded to the best works concerning the years’ theme. This year the prize will be awarded for the best visual arts response to the theme: Untamed: On Wilderness and Civilization. All visual media is permitted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, digital, and installation.

You can submit only one entry per person.

Piece must not have won an award before or been placed in another competition at any time (including the Alpine Fellowship Visual Arts Prize).

Who may enter?

The competition is open to all nationalities.

Prize:

The winner will receive a £2,000 cash prize and a further £1,000 towards the artist’s travel, and the shipping and installation of their work at the symposium in Fjällnäs.

Runners up will be invited to attend the Fjällnäs symposium to exhibit their work — all food and accommodation covered. Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a total of £500.
