Type Directors Club Awards 2022: Organized by The One Club for Creativity, The Type Directors Club Awards 2022 - TDC68 and 25TDC, the biggest and most respected awards in the world of type design and typography are now open for entries accepting entries from all over te word.

Short description

The Type Directors Club’s TDC68 and 25TDC, the biggest and most respected awards in the world of type design and typography, are now open for entries!

Established in 1955, TDC’s Communication Design competition celebrates the aesthetics and implementation of typography and lettering across a wide variety of media.

TDC68, the Type Directors Club 68th annual international competition, recognizes typographic excellence and innovation, while maintaining its ongoing commitment to the art and craft of typography and design.

The 25th TDC Typeface Design Competition recognizes the most relevant in new typeface designs.

Entries must have been produced or published during 2021 to be eligible.

The jury, composed of the top creatives and designers from across the world, will base their decision on usage of the letterform and in typeface design, the best letterform design.

They will be exhibited in the 68th TDC Exhibition and appear in The World’s Best Typography, Typography 43.

Submission requirements:

Entries are to be submitted as PDFs or digital image. Please ensure high enough resolution to judge your work appropriately. Each entry may include up to a maximum of 12 proof pages. Proofs may include, but are not limited to, headlines, short or long passages of text, sample pages or double-page spreads of book or magazine make-up, or multi-column text.

Evaluation Criteria:

During the judging process, the jury will base their decision on three criteria, reviewing if the entry is:

an original and inspiring idea
well-executed
relevant to its context

This competition is open to anyone worldwide.

Prize:

The best work is awarded a Certificate of Typographic Excellence.

Entry fees:

Entry fees vary by category and starts from $70 for the Single Typeface category.
