Green Concept Award 2026 is now open for entries!

Green Concept Award 2026 : The international Green Concept Award 2026, competition has been recently opened for entries with mission to recognizes and supports the next generation of sustainable founders who want to make a contribution to climate change with their concepts.

Short description

The international Green Concept Award 2026 is now open for submissions for students, start-ups and established companies and this time is themed “Design the Future. Qualify. Be Seen.“.

The Award recognizes and supports the next generation of sustainable founders who want to make a contribution to climate change with their concepts.

The Green Concept Award, in cooperation with the IKEA Stiftung, honours students and young designers in particular for visionary concepts, supports them with the Green Cells program, shows them at exhibitions and supports them in their further development.

Beyond Imagination is the guiding principle here and the special project is the development of a sustainable and affordable capsule collection. Submissions are accepted in 14 categories:

Architecture, Building Design, Consumer Goods, Fashion, Initiatives, Interior & Lifestyle, Kids, Kitchen, Mobility, New Materials, Packaging, Personal Care, Sport and Workspace for the best concept. There is the Green Product Award for solutions on the market already.

An international jury of experienced experts reviews the submissions with their know-how to determine the winners.

All Finalists will be announced on 2 February 2026.

The festive award ceremony and the exhibition with the winning entries will take place in Spring 2026 on the occasion of the Dutch Design Week.

Submission requirements:

Submit your concept (product or service) with:

➜ Images (press-ready)
➜ PDF presentation

You can include a video link of your project (max 30 seconds).

Who may enter?

The award is aimed at young designers, start-ups and established companies.

Prize:

➜ Recognition through the official award seal (Finalist & Winner)
➜ Media & press visibility via exhibitions, social media, and the Green Trend Book
➜ Public vote exposure with over 50,000 votes annually
➜ Training, feedback through webinars, feedback loops, and the Green Cells support program
➜ Invitation to the award ceremony

Entry fees:

There is a submission fee for all participants for 450 Euro and for Established Companies there is an additional Finalist package upon selection for 1,550 Euro, both exclusive VAT. For students and recent graduates the entry is free.
