Photographers are invited to submit an unlimited number of individual images across a wide range of categories.
All entries will be carefully reviewed by an international panel of expert judges, including esteemed photographers, curators, and industry professionals. Each image will be assessed based on three key criteria: creativity, originality, and technical excellence. The awards encourage experimentation and diversity, allowing participants to enter multiple categories and present work that spans different photographic styles.
Located in the heart of Europe and one of the most important cultural capitals, the Berlin Photo Awards offer not only cash prizes but also unparalleled opportunities for professional growth, including global recognition, exclusive networking opportunities, and expert feedback from renowned industry leaders.
The winners will be announced on 25th July 2026 on the Berlin Photo Awards website and notified via email.

Eligibility
This competition is open to photographers worldwide aged 18 or over, including professionals, amateurs, and students, with original photographs (AI-generated images not accepted).
Prize
The competition offers a total prize pool of €4,000, including a €1,000 cash award for the Photographer of the Year and €100 for each category winner. Winners also receive trophies, digital certificates, and international recognition. Selected works are exhibited at ERSTERERSTER Gallery in Berlin and published in the official digital winners photobook, with additional promotional features across the competition’s platforms.
Entry fees
The entry fee is 25 Euro per photo. It is possible to submit multiple photos. Each additional entry gets 10% off.
