The FOTOAWARD 2025 International non-profit photography contest has been recently announced for entries in its 7th year inviting only experienced photographers to participate.

FOTOAWARD is an international non-profit photography contest and an exhibition of participants’ works before a large Russian-speaking audience from various countries. Submissions are made by publishing entries on the contest’s exhibition site, which is a Russian-language platform. This photo site, with the motto “Make raw, not war“, promotes photography as a means to unite people from different countries with diverse views. It’s the independent photography section of D3.ru, a very large and the oldest Russian social-networking portal, established in 2001. Its audience consists of Russian-speaking viewers from many countries, and their ratings are the initial judging stage. Entry is limited to invited, selected accomplished photographers. For 2025, the FOTOAWARD contest has been adapted to accommodate English-speaking participants.

There is a special challenge in the absence of genre-based categories or nominations.

Works that have won other competitions are welcome. The shooting date does not matter.

The contest does not have categories or genre-based nominations.Participants may submit up to 2 works per day.

Composite images and digital manipulation are allowed but should be tagged accordingly if not apparent. Upon request, participants must provide the original file, including the RAW format if available. Use of third-party or AI-generated elements is prohibited.

This initial stage is followed by two rounds conducted by juries, which include world-renowned photographers from various countries. The judging process is powered by a sophisticated, transparent online voting platform hosted at FOTOAWARD.org, with integrated AI features.

➜ Submission requirements:

➜ Image size need to be at least 1200 pixels on the longer side, max 4MB, saved as jpeg/jpg or png.
➜ Include links to 5–10 photos you wish to submit, or attach them. Links are preferred.

➜ Who may enter?

Only experienced photographers are invited to participate in this competition. The minimum participation age is 18.

➜ Prize:

Prizes awarded include medals, printed diplomas, and international photographers’ press cards in English from the “Eurasia” Photographers Association, along with valuable prizes from HOYA Filters and licenses for popular photography software.
