Short description

M&C Saatchi Group in collaboration with iconic Saatchi Gallery recently have launched Art For Change Prize 2024, a new international art initiative open to artists working in the first five years of their career.

The Art for Change Prize 2024 is an esteemed international art competition that seeks to uncover and promote emerging artistic talent.

As part of a shared mission in making art, culture, and creativity accessible to everyone, this free-to-enter prize is a celebration of emerging artistic talent. It will highlight and stimulate dialogue around visual arts as a medium for positive global and social change and give exposure to emerging artists worldwide.

This year’s theme, "Tomorrow’ing: Visions of a better future," encourages artists to explore and depict their hopes and visions for a brighter, more sustainable world.

Accepted media includes painting, drawing, illustration, photography, collage, 2D mixed-media, video or film. Submitted works must creatively respond to the theme ‘Regeneration’ and have been executed since 1 January 2021. Works must be stable and capable of being shipped and installed on a walled surface.

One application per artist is permitted with a maximum of five artworks accepted.

All artists will exhibit their winning works in a dedicated exhibition at Saatchi Gallery in London, where the overall winner will be announced at the end of November 2024. The exhibition will open to the public November 2024 to January 2025. This exhibition not only highlights the winners’ contributions but also fosters a global conversation about the role of art in addressing and solving societal issues.
