JAGDA International Student Poster Award 2026 is now open for entries!

The JAGDA International Student Poster Award 2026, international competition for students of high school age and above, organised by Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) has been recently launched to discover and honor next-generation talents, aims to develop and expand graphic design.

Short description

Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) once again is hosting its JAGDA International Student Poster Award competition for 2025 and invites participation by students worldwide.

JAGDA International Student Poster Award was established with the aim to discover and acknowledge outstanding young talents from across the world and to promote the further advancement of graphic design. Posters allow ideas to be freely expressed through the rich mixture of graphics and texts, giving them the instantaneous power to move the viewers’ hearts and create visual communications that go beyond nations and regions. JAGDA’s hope is to cultivate a better understanding of each other and share international issues through the medium of posters.

The theme for this year competition is “Harmony”.

The use of stock photos (including photographs, illustrations, and others), regardless of whether paid or free, is strictly prohibited.

Approximately 200 works will be selected and the following prizes will be awarded: Grand Prix (1), Gold (2), Silver (5), Bronze (10), Jury Award (5), Committee Member Award (8) and Special Sponsor Award (~20).

All winning and selected works will be exhibited from 25 November 2026 — 7 December 2026, at the National Art Center, Tokyo and will be published in the official catalog.

Submission requirements

➜ Submitted works must be posters in B1 size (728mm x 1,030mm, portrait orientation only) produced between August 2025 and July 2026 and must include the letters “Harmony”. In addition to works produced for this award, school assignments, graduation projects and works submitted to other awards are also accepted.

Eligibility

The competition is open to students worldwide (high school level and above), regardless of nationality or age.

Prize

All winning and selected works will be exhibited from 25 November 2026 — 7 December 2026, at the National Art Center, Tokyo and will be published in the official catalog.

Entry fees

Entry fee is 1,000 Japanese Yen per poster.
