Short description

The Uncharted Territories Poster Design Competition, international contest has been recently announced for entries seeking visual representations of the articles of Uncharted Territories, a weekly newsletter that uncovers the biggest trends driving the world today in order to navigate the world of tomorrow.

Uncharted Territories is known for its stunning visuals that help deepen our understanding of the world. Organisers would love to see it rendered on readers' walls and giving you the opportunity to make the first design.

What you imagine for the Uncharted Territories shop? If you are a designer with a flair for visual storytelling and a passion for data, organisers wants to hear from you. A portfolio link or example of your work is welcome but not required.

You are invited to show your aesthetic and visual storytelling with a compelling depiction of an idea from the newsletter.

Work must be original. Any third-party elements (photographs, fonts, illustrations) must be licensed for commercial use.
Any use of AI tools in the creation of your entry must be disclosed in the submission form. Entries that include undisclosed AI-generated content may be disqualified.

There may be more than one winner, and successful entries may lead to ongoing commission work. All entries will be displayed on the contest Viewing Gallery and the favorites will be highlighted on the blog and social media as the competition runs.

For established designers, the option exists to show your portfolio for direct commission or employment.

You may enter as many times as you like.

Submission requirements

➜ Upload a screen resolution version of an A2 poster design (420×594 mm) or 18×24" via the form linked on the landing page, portrait or landscape

➜ Submit a screen-resolution preview: JPG or PNG, max 10 MB

The winner will be asked to provide the full print-resolution file (300 dpi minimum) separately

Eligibility

Anyone over 18 worldwide can partecipate in this competition.

Benefits

Organiser is offering $1,000 to the artist whose design best represents a map or idea from a UT article. The winning design may go on to become the flagship product for the launch of a brand new UT shop and lead to ongoing commission work.

There may be more than one winner.

Entry fees

The competition is free to enter.
