Over the past seven years the Drawing of the Year Awards have become the ultimate accolade in visual representation and image creation in architecture, the arts, design within the built environment.
The Drawing of the Year Awards continue to showcase the most accomplished visual work from professionals and students worldwide, championing creativity, innovation, and the power of drawing in all its forms, welcoming the diversity of image-making in the built environment influenced by the variety of culture, perspective and experience without barriers to access.
With over 7,000 entries in 2025 and an esteemed judging panel, the Awards are a prestigious achievement and a unique opportunity to be recognised by notable names and creative industry leaders. Now featuring one of the largest prize offerings of its kind, and with hundreds winning creative software licences, global exhibition opportunities and international publication, the Awards strive to support next generation talents.
Open to creatives from all disciplines and backgrounds, the Drawing of the Year Awards recognise visual representations across a diverse range of styles, typologies and approaches within the built environment.
The Awards feature six main categories recognising creative process, alongside additional Medal Categories highlighting specific skills and attributes.
The expert judging panel for the 2025 Awards included prestigious creative practitioners and renowned industry experts each with unique knowledge and experience of architecture, design and image creation.
Top works will also have the opportunity to be exhibited as part of London Creates 2026, the major creative exhibition held at The Truman Brewery, London from 16-26 July 2026 alongside world renowned studios and creative practitioners.
Eligibility
This competition is open to creatives from all disciplines and backgrounds, including architects, designers, and artists.
Prize
With over £100,000 GBP ($135,000 USD) in prizes, the Awards offer one of the largest prize pools of their kind with global exhibition and international publication opportunities for shortlisted works! The top 250 shortlisted entries will also win 180-day D5 PRO licences.
Top works will also have the opportunity to be exhibited as part of London Creates 2026, the major creative exhibition held at The Truman Brewery, London from 16-26 July 2026 alongside world renowned studios and creative practitioners.
