36th Memorial Maria Luisa Photo And Video Contest : The Memorial Maria Luisa Photo Contest, now in its 36th year, is an international competition that celebrates the art of photography and videography, focusing on the themes of nature, mountains, and adventure.
Short description
The Maria Luisa Memorial is calling photographers and filmmakers, both amateurs and professionals, to the 36th edition of their International Photo & Video Contest.
This time the contest is made up of fourteen thematic categories on the Mountain, Nature and Adventure, in addition to the specific category of videos. In addition, on this occasion, a Thematic Category dedicated exclusively to traditional rural world photography is also being convened.
Contest categories include: Mountain, nature, wildlife, mountaineering, climbing, landscape, underwater world, biodiversity, geodiversity, flora, extreme and adventure sports, and traditional rural world photography.
This annual event draws entries from photographers and filmmakers across the globe, showcasing their ability to capture the essence of the natural world in all its splendor and raw beauty.
Entries are judged by an esteemed panel of experts who evaluate submissions based on their artistic merit, originality, and adherence to the competition’s themes. The contest not only highlights the skill and creativity of the participants but also serves as a tribute to the adventurous spirit of María Luisa, a passionate mountain climber whose legacy continues to inspire photographers and adventurers alike.
The gala of the prizes will take place in Infiesto and in Oviedo - Asturias, April 24 & 25, 2026.
Who may enter?
All photographers and filmmakers who so desire, amateur or professional, may take part.
Prize:
The Overall Winner of the "XXXVI MML" will be awarded a cash prize of €4000, a Trophy, a Diploma, a book portfolio and two invitations to the awards gala.
Entry fees:
All contestants will be able to submit their first photograph for free. For the rest of the photos and videos, the participation fee is €22.
