Competition Details
Desall and a leading multinational packaging company invite creative talents worldwide to design an innovative refill dispensing cap for premium perfume bottles, making at-home refilling simple, intuitive, safe, and sustainable.
The challenge focuses on developing a reusable cap that enables the controlled transfer of fragrance from a refill container into a glass perfume bottle equipped with a removable screw-on pump.
Proposals should minimize leaks, spills, contamination, and direct contact with the fragrance while ensuring easy assembly, operation, and removal.
The proposed solution should combine functional innovation, technical feasibility, and premium aesthetics. Particular attention should be given to intuitive operation, reliable sealing, compatibility with existing perfume packaging, and sustainable manufacturing.
Designers are encouraged to minimize the number of components, reduce material consumption, and prioritize recyclable materials. Single-material solutions using polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) are preferred.
Concepts should be suitable for industrial plastic injection moulding and offer an elegant, customizable appearance appropriate for luxury fragrance brands.
