Competition Details

The MUSE Photography Awards 2027, organised by International Awards Associate Inc (IAA), is an international photography competition now calling for entries from professional, amateur and student photographers worldwide.

The awards celebrate original photographic vision, storytelling and technical skill, offering photographers an opportunity to present their work to an international jury and reach a wider audience through official winner pages, editorial coverage and promotional channels.

Categories include: Fine Art Photography, Architecture Photography, Nature Photography, People Photography, Commercial Photography, Editorial Photography, Black & White Photography, Minimalist Photography, Fashion Photography, Film Photography, Advertising Photography and Special Categories.

There are FIVE levels of achievement in the competition:

➜ MUSE Photographers of the Year - Professional and Amateur / Student
➜ MUSE Category Winners of the Year - across 12 photography categories
➜ Platinum MUSE - 85-100 points
➜ Gold MUSE - 75-84 points
➜ Silver MUSE - 65-74 points

Entries are assessed by an international jury through blind judging, with each entry scored on a scale of 1-100 and recognition determined by jury scores and the quality of the submissions.

Evaluation criteria:

➜ Originality and distinctive vision - concept, perspective, interpretation and visual voice
➜ Storytelling and emotional resonance - story, mood, message and emotion
➜ Composition and visual cohesion - framing, light, colour, perspective and timing
➜ Technical execution and intentional craft - technique and post-production supporting the creative intent
➜ Relevance and overall impact - suitability for the category and memorable final impression

Entrants must be 18 or older, and eligible agencies, designers, in-house teams and business owners may also submit photographic work; the organiser may request proof of the original production or publication date, re-categorise incorrectly classified entries or withhold awards where submissions do not meet the required standard.

Results will be announced on April 16, 2027 on the official MUSE Photography Awards website.

Submission requirements

➜ Submit online through the official awards website; single photographs and series are accepted, with no limit on the number of entries.

➜ Series entries must contain 2-8 photographs under one title, connected by a common theme or concept.

➜ Image files: flattened JPEG/JPG, under 4 MB, approximately 1,200 px wide, 300 dpi, RGB.

➜ Eligible work: photographs created in 2023-2027, including commissioned, published, unpublished and personal work; previously awarded images are accepted if they meet eligibility and rights requirements.

➜ Include a synopsis of approximately 350 words or less explaining the subject, concept or intention; non-English entries should include an English translation or adaptation.
