2021 Foundwork Artist Prize now is over!

2021 Foundwork Artist Prize: The 2021 Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried award recently opened for entries with aim to recognize outstanding practices by contemporary artists working in any media who would like to introduce their work to curators, gallerists, and other prospective collaborators.

Short description

The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried award to recognize outstanding practices by contemporary artists working in any media.

Foundwork is a platform for artists to introduce their work to people across the contemporary art community. Their purpose is to support access and discourse between artists, curators, gallerists, and collaborators, wherever they are based.

Examples of practices welcome on Foundwork include various types of painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, printmaking, performance, installation, new media, public art, and social practice, among others. Artists can submit any exhibitions, events (including performances and artist talks), and publications they are involved with, including both solo projects and collaborations.

To be eligible for the 2021 prize, artists will need to have a profile on the Foundwork website, with at least 6 artworks published on their profile page, throughout the selection period.

The jury for the 2021 Foundwork Artist Prize includes leading international curators, gallerists, educators, and artists.

Submission requirements:

Please note that artwork images should be JPEG or PNG, no more than 2 MB in file size, and at least 1200 pixels in length or width. Please also note that artwork images should only depict your work and must not include superimposed text.

If you wish to share a video of your work instead of still images, you can enter a link to a Vimeo or YouTube page where your video is hosted (instead of uploading still images).
