The Passepartout Photo Prize, organized by Il Varco srl sin 2020, now is calling for entries!

Il Varco invites you to join the fourth edition of the Passepartout Photography Prize, a photography contest born to promote and widen the exposure of emerging photographers.

This is a perfect platform to start your career in contemporary art and photography industries on an international scale.

Passepartout Photo Prize aims to support the development of talented photographers from all over the world by providing 1,000 Euro in monetary awards every year, exhibition opportunities in a prestigious venue in the heart of Rome, Italy, publication opportunities and more.

Passepartout embraces innovative and original approaches to contemporary photography, allowing for various artistic languages applied to the photographic image, including, but not limited to, experimentation and fusion of different genres.

This is an open theme contest. Photographic works of any kind of artistic style, size and technique (digital, film and experimental processes, digital collages and other mixed media) are accepted.

Among the jurors are the American photographer Richard Tuschman, GUP Magazine editor Erik Vroons and professionals from different backgrounds that bring various perspectives into the selection process.

The annual exhibition 2022 will take place at 28 Piazza di Pietra Fine Art Gallery in Rome, Italy in Autumn 2022. The collective showcase features the selected works of the Exhibition Prize winners from 3rd and 4th editions of Passepartout. During the exhibition, special events at the venue will be organized.

The winners will be announced on February 2022.

Who may enter?

The application is open to photographers from all over the world without any age limit.

Prize:

Selected winners will be awarded with 500 euros. Plus, all the participants will have another chance to be selected for the annual collective exhibition and the annual catalogue.

Entry fees:

The Early Bird submission (8th November 2021) fee is 18 Euros, for up to 3 images. After that period ends the submission fee is 22 Euro. Additional images up to 7 in total may be submitted with an additional fee of 4 Euros per image.
