Art on Climate 2025 International Illustration Competition : Art on Climate International Illustration Competition is an international illustration competition recently organised in its 2025 edition by Fingertips Company Limited and held right across the world with aim to bring greater visibility to the issue of action against climate change.
➜ Short description
The “Art on Climate” International Illustration Competition is now inviting talented illustrators to craft artworks that address the theme of “Climate Change”.
The competition seeks to act as a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and practical solutions to address climate change, and to inspire the public to proactively make a change in their daily life in response to the global challenge.
Initially launched in Spain in 2019, Art on Climate expanded its reach to the Asia-Pacific region in 2021 and the global world in 2022. The 2023 campaign has drawn tremendous participation, with over 1,600 illustrators from more than 100 locations submitting over 2,800 remarkable artworks. This year, the competition continues its footprints in the Asia-Pacific region, inviting established illustrators and aspiring students to demonstrate their skills and creativity, with the goal to amplify global awareness and inspire meaningful actions on climate change.
The theme for 2024 is Climate Change. Participants should use one or more of the statements below as a starting point for their work:
There are 5 distinct subjects to choose from as a starting point for the artworks:
1. Empowering Communities for Climate Resilience
Climate change, one of the most critical challenges facing our planet, brings profound impacts across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions. To navigate its escalating risks, it is crucial to develop resilient communities capable of adapting to immediate threats. This approach also equips us to address the broader uncertainties, ensuring a sustainable future amidst a changing climate.
2. Establishing Planetary Boundaries for Sustainable Living
To safeguard the stability and health of our planet, we must identify the environmental limits within which humanity can safely operate, ensuring minimal impact on biodiversity. Respecting these boundaries enables us to act responsibly, mitigating irreversible harm to ecosystems and avoiding unintended consequences in our efforts to combat climate change.
3. Advancing Inclusive Capitalism for a Sustainable Future
Inclusive capitalism aims to build a just and sustainable society by balancing financial returns with social impact, encouraging businesses and investors to focus on long-term value creation, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. As inclusion emerges as a critical focus following climate change, this approach demands innovative solutions to meet the expectations of younger generations.
4. Leveraging Technology for Innovative Sustainability Solutions
Advanced technology serves as a key driver in promoting sustainability and tackling the pressing challenges of climate change. By harnessing technological innovation, we can encourage proactive changes in daily practices, inspiring others to contribute to a more sustainable future.
5. Uniting for Collective Action to Tackle Climate Change
To effectively address climate change, a unified effort is essential to pursue shared sustainability goals. Embracing sustainable practices, adopting lifestyle changes, and sharing knowledge and resources can collectively drive transformative impact, mitigating climate change and fostering a sustainable future for all.
