Fumetto International Comic Competition 2026 : Fumetto International Comix Festival Luzern has recently opened the call for entries for Fumetto International Comic Competition 2026, like every year with aim to give comic creators the opportunity to compare their work, present it to a broader public and to exchange views with others.

The Fumetto International Comix Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland, is now accepting submissions for the International Comic Competition 2026.

Each year, Fumetto International Comic Festival Lucerne holds a competition to give comic creators the opportunity to compare their work, present it to a broader public and to exchange views with others. Today the competition is one of the largest and most important of its kind in Europe.

This year the competition invites participants to explore the theme “PEAK“, which challenges artists to explore concepts of summits, highs and lows, and both literal and metaphorical peaks through the unique medium of comics.

There are three categories:

➜ 18 years or older
➜ 13 to 17 years
➜ up to 12 years of age

Fumetto collects and shows the scariest, most beautiful, most bizarre and funniest stories about meat and flesh, be it about the human body, about responsible consumption in the face of climate catastrophes or about international specialties and delicacies.

➜ Submission requirements:

You may submit only one comic (story in picture form):

➜ Submited format need to be A4 or A3, only comics (stories in picture form). Maximum 4 number of pages (only 1 comic-story). No digital entries by e-mail, only by post-service.

The Fumetto International Comic Competition 2026 is open to anyone worldwide.

➜ Prize:

Fumetto will award three prizes in each category. There will also be a prize for the best scenario, regardless of the categories. The festival’s visitors will be able to vote for the peoples choice award.
