GLASS Arts Festival: Glass artists are invited to enter the Glass Lakefront Art Show and Sale (GLASS) Arts Festival, an exclusively glass festival held on the grounds of Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, WI.

Short description

Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, WI seeks artists for their GLASS Arts Festival that will be held on August 11-12, 2022.

Glass artists are invited to enter the Glass Lakefront Art Show and Sale (GLASS) Arts Festival, an exclusively glass festival held on the grounds of Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, WI. Glass artists and collectors from across the country will gather to celebrate glass art during the Friday night VIP collectors’ shopping experience Friday, August 11, 5:30-8:30pm, and the Saturday, August 12, 10am-5 pm arts festival, open to the public.
In addition to the best in glass art, visitors will enjoy live music, artisan food and beverages, children’s art activities, and glass blowing demonstrations.

Artists will enjoy many amenities such as opportunities to explore inspiring exhibitions in the museum, $3,000+ in cash prizes, a solo exhibition at the museum in 2024 for the top prizewinner, water and food delivered directly to the booths, appetizers and beverages on Friday evening, a continental breakfast on Saturday and booth sitting. Artists will be provided with a 10’ x 10’ booth space, under a festival tent. Electrical hook up available.

Art work must be predominantly made of glass, including: beads/jewelry, blown, cast, fused, kiln-formed, lampworked/flameworked, mosaic, stained, sculpture, paperweights, and mixed media with glass the primary medium. All exhibited work must be original in concept and must have been created by the applicant. No work made with commercial kits, molds, patterns, plans, stencils, or prefabricated forms. No forms of mass production or reproductions are permitted.

The GLASS Arts Festival features up to 40 artists, creating an intimate festival that caters to the artists.

Prize:

1st Place - $1500 and solo exhibition at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in 2024, plus free booth fee in 2024.

2nd Place - $1000 and free booth fee in 2024.
3rd Place - $500 and free booth fee in 2024.
