Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards 2022 now is over!
Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards, now in its 14th year, continues to engage the global photographic community with the 2022 call for entries inviting all photographers from all over the world, including professionals, amateurs, keen hobbyists and students seeking for fresh and innovative photography.
Now in its 14th year, the Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards, an annual global portrait photography competition continues to engage the global photographic community with the 2022 Call for Entries, seeking fresh and innovative photography from new, emerging and established photographers from around the world.
This year's theme is HUMAN/NATURE. There is only one category for 2022. Portraits may be interpreted in the widest creative, philosophical, sociological senses.
All photographs must have been taken between 2021 and 2022 or part of an on-going project. Minimal digital enhancement is advised, subject to basic darkroom techniques e.g. levels, curves, dodging, burning, minimal sharpening, colour correction. Photographs can be Black and White or Colour, in any format. Photographs must not have any digital borders, keyline, name, personal logos or watermarks. Scanned film images must be free of dust marks and borders. Alternative or vintage processes are allowed and must be appropriately stated, along with the technique and process.
Photographers may submit up to 10 single images per entry. Multiple entries are allowed.
Note! KLPA will pledge to donate 100% of all net entry fees from the 2022 open call to support the humanitarian needs of the millions of displaced Ukrainians who are desperately seeking shelter, clothes, and food.
➜ Submission dimensions 1,500 pixels at its longest edge, saved as .jpg at high quality, approximately 1,500kb in size in SRGB colourspace, Quality 8 and above. Finalists may be required to submit their original RAW or JPEG files for verification.
Kuala Lumpur International Photo Awards 2022 is open to photographers, professionals and amateurs, from all countries. Must be 16 years of age or over on 01 April 2022.
The 1st Prize winner will receive Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Digital Camera with RF24-105mm f/4.0 - 7.1 IS STM lens. Also, prize winners and top 40 finalists will have their images exhibited and promoted in Kuala Lumpur at partner venue sponsor.
Entry fees start at 15 USD per image. All entry fees received (after transaction fees) will be donated to the Ukraine refugees crisis.
