Mslexia Women's Short Story Competition 2024, organised by Mslexia, a British magazine for women writers, has been recently opened for entries and is open only to women of any nationality and from any country.
You are invited to submit complete short fiction on any subject, up to 3,000 words.
Entries should be in English or English dialect.
The judge this year is award-winning novelist and short story writer
Entrants will be notified of the outcome of their entry in November 2024. The winner, three finalists and eight further shortlisted entrants will be announced in the December 2024 edition of Mslexia.

The competition is open to women of any nationality from any country.
➜ Prize:
The winner will receive £3,000.
Three additional finalists will each receive £100.
The winning entry and three finalists will be published in the December 2024 edition of Mslexia.
The winning entry, three finalists and eight additional shortlisted stories will also appear in Mslexia’s ebook anthology, Best Women’s Short Fiction 2024, published in December 2024.
