PigPrints Drawing + Etching Residency Prize 2022: PigPrints, a printmaking studio and online gallery based in Milan, Italy, is inviting students from all over the world to submit their work for its International PigPrints Drawing + Etching Residency Prize 2022.

Short description

PigPrints is inviting artists and art students from all over the world to submit their work for its 2022 Residency Prize competition.

Pigprints is an artist-run printmaking workspace based in Milan that provides professional-quality printmaking facilities to artists and printmakers of every skill level. With a specialty in intaglio print, they publish and exhibit original, limited edition etchings and other works on paper by emerging as well as established contemporary artists. The purpose of this prize is to give an individual artist the possibility of producing a limited edition etching and add their work to the existing list of artists that are already part of the gallery.

The Contest will have one winner. A panel of three judges appointed by PigPrints will determine the winning artwork and artist.

Submission requirements:

Artists are required to submit original black and white drawings (pen, pencil, charcoal, watercolor etc.), in view of producing an etching. It is not required for the entrants to have previous knowledge of intaglio techniques.

Every artist can submit up to 3 entries. Images should be at least 1920 px (longest side) and can be submitted as one of the following file types: jpg, jpeg, pdf, png.

Who may enter?

The prize is open to students from all over the world, who are 18+.

Prize:

The winner will be awarded a € 1500 monetary Prize and an invitation for a 2-week residency in Milan (worth € 750) between March and December 2022.

Entry fees:

The Early Bird (until 30 November 2021) entry fee is 15€ per one entry or 25€ for up to 3 entries. The Regular (after 30 November 2021) fee is 20€ per entry or 30€ for up to three entries.
