Poster Design Competition on Global Citizenship: Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, a Quasi-International Organization based in Vienna, Austria, recently has announced Poster Design Competition on Global Citizenship, new call for entries that invites all artists around the world to participate.
Short description
What does Global Citizenship Mean to You? The concept and images of the poster should represent the idea of global citizenship and being a global citizen. It can provide an answer to the following questions:
- How can a global citizen be portrayed?
- What does her or his environment look like?
- Which tools are being used in a global citizen’s daily life?
- What values, ideas, fears, and stories do global citizens carry?
- How can global citizenship contribute to the local community and transform society?
Artists, designers, activists, students, and change-makers are invited to design a poster about “Global Citizenship” and contribute to the awareness raising of the concept.
Organiser believes that promoting global citizenship is crucial to foster a new generation of leaders who cultivate empathy, sustainability, and human rights.
Organiser invite you to use your creativity as a communication tool and inspire others to take action.
"During the pandemic, we observed a rise in nationalism, xenophobia, global inequalities, and much more. Therefore, we believe that promoting global citizenship is crucial to foster a new generation of leaders who cultivate empathy, sustainability, and human rights. Your poster should express thoughts and ideas about global citizenship."
Submission requirements:
➜ Your artwork is to be submitted in electronic format with a resolution of 300 dpi, A1 size, and in jpg or png format (poster winner will be requested to resubmit poster at a higher resolution for reproduction purposes).
➜ All visual art, drawing methods, photography, graphic design, or digital illustrations will be accepted (text is encouraged).
➜ More than one piece may be submitted.
➜ Submit your work to competition@bankimooncentre.org
Evaluation Criteria:
Evaluation criteria includes design, message, uniqueness and attention-grabbing.
The jury consist of Grammy award winner and graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, African Youth Envoy Aya Chebbi, and Co-Chairs Ban Ki-moon, 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations, and
The selected top 3 applicants will be notified via email by December 18, 2020. Their artwork will be published on the BKMC website and social media accounts.
An exhibition of the best 10-15 artworks is planned for 2021.
Who may enter?
The Poster Design Competition on Global Citizenship is open to anyone of any nationality aged 14 years or older. Individual and group submissions are accepted.
Prize:
➜ 1st place: $1500 USD
➜ Second place: $1000 USD
➜ Third place: $800 USD
